Why is the league format better?

The annual 11u-14u Franklin Ranch Spring League is comprised of a 16-game schedule spanning four weekends during the spring season. The league format mirrors the high school, college, and professional baseball season, whereby a league champion is crowned at the end of the season that spans a long period of time.  Championships that are earned over the course of a season are a better indicator of the strength of a team.

Each weekend, participating teams will play 4 games, guaranteed (barring weather). The possibility of losing your first bracket game on Sunday morning and heading home with only 3 games played (lost reps and opportunities for players) does not exist!

Each weekend, participating teams will play ONLY 4 games. Playing more than 2 games per day is not conducive to a healthy experience for young athletes. Weekend events that include the possibility of 5 games in one day (7 games in 2 days) are not designed with the best interests of the player in mind!

Cost. The average 3 game guarantee tournament in most areas is $900. The per weekend cost for league play (which includes 4 games guaranteed) is $700. Over the course of the 4 weekend league schedule, participating teams will save $800 and be guaranteed to play 4 more games!

No crazy schedules and game times! Each weekend, participating teams will never have more than one game in between games. In other words, no more 6, 7, 8 hour gaps between games. In many cases, teams play back to back (double headers). In addition, the full 16 game league schedule will be posted at the beginning of the year. You won’t have to wait until the Wednesday before the weekend to know when and where and who you’re playing!

Facility. All games will be played at The Ranch in Franklin, Texas (pictured above). The Ranch is a world class facility featuring six synthetic turf fields and a variety of other exceptional amenities.

Teams are expected to adhere to Texas Twelve team, player, coach, and parent expectations in order to create an excellent youth baseball experience. Space is limited and participation opportunities are extended to Texas Twelve teams and invited guests. To request an invitation, click on the “Register” button below. Following registration, you’ll receive an email from the league director confirming your acceptance to the league and detailing the steps you will need to take to “lock down” your spot.
