2025 Champs: South Texas Wins Battle of the Branches!

The 2025 Battle of the Branches tournament has officially come to a close, and after a weekend filled with grit, competition, and heart — South Texas has emerged as the champion, earning the highest Battle of the Branches Score of 1.903!

Led by Branch Director Trey Sanchez, the South Texas teams — representing Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas — showed up with passion, perseverance, and a unified drive to compete. It was clear from day one that these young athletes came to battle for more than just wins; they came to represent their branch with pride. Their hard work and resilience paid off, as they take home the prestigious Texas Twelve Oak Branch Trophy for 2025.

Final Standings:

South Texas: 38 Wins, 4 Ties, 62 Total Games = 1.903

Katy: 52 Wins, 2 Ties, 84 Games Played = 1.881

The Woodlands: 22 Wins, 1 Tie, 47 Games Played = 1.426

San Antonio: 24 Wins, 2 Ties, 58 Games Played = 1.276

College Station: 20 Wins, 5 Ties, 54 Games Played = 1.204

Bay Area: 23 Wins, 2 Ties, 69 Games Played = 1.029

While the Katy Branch came incredibly close — putting up an impressive 52 wins and a total score of 1.881 — South Texas edged them out with consistent success across fewer total games. Every game mattered, and every point counted.

Despite the weather challenges throughout the weekend, players and families from all of our branches — from College Station to Bay Area, from San Antonio to The Woodlands — showed up, rain or shine. Their commitment and sacrifice to make this event possible didn’t go unnoticed. It’s weekends like this that remind us why we do what we do.

The Texas Twelve Oak Branch Trophy — awarded to the branch with the highest score — symbolizes more than victory. With its single oak branch design, it represents strength, stability, and endurance — qualities we aim to instill in every Twelve player. Just like the mighty oak tree, we want our athletes to grow with deep roots, strong foundations, and the ability to withstand whatever life throws at them.
